BERN, Switzerland: The first large-scale representative epidemiological study of national oral health is underway in Switzerland, harnessing intra-oral scanning technology for data collection. Led by researchers at the University of Bern, the study—officially the Erste Schweizer Mundgesundheitsstudie—aims to assess the oral health status of 3,450 children and adults by the end of next year to provide key insights into the population’s dental health and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
