SAN FRANCISCO, US: The migration of myriad dental services on to the cloud is one of the major dimensions of transformation occurring in dentistry. A key part of this move online has been, and will continue to be, the rise of platforms powered by artificial intelligence (AI), capable of instantaneously and accurately analysing visual data for a range of common dental problems. These emergent technologies are not the sole province of dental clinics either; many mobile apps are now leveraging AI to grant individuals the ability to assess their own oral health wherever and whenever they choose. One such mobile app, Trust AI, which calls itself the ChatGPT for dentists, has recently marked a milestone in raising US$6 million (€5 million*) in seed capital funding, a cash infusion which positions it strongly for continued market expansion.
